Inoqo Product Impact Assessment Platform

One of the digital enablers the CHOICE project uses is the Inoqo Product Impact Assessment Platform. The Platform purpose is to contribute to the mitigation of the climate and biodiversity crises, by promoting more sustainable consumption patterns and supporting consumers to overcome the value-action-gap, thereby accelerating the uptake of more sustainable production.

The Inoqo platform enables grocery retailers and brands to perform comprehensive and scalable product impact assessments, focusing on sustainability metrics such as carbon footprint, biodiversity, and social equity. By leveraging a robust technical foundation built on advanced databases and automated workflows, the platform provides the F&B industry with precise, data-driven insights into the environmental impact of their product assortments. This helps retailers and brands identify key areas for improvement and align their practices with global sustainability goals.

The inoqo platform is built on a scalable, data-driven architecture, enabling it to handle large-scale product assessments efficiently. It integrates data from various scientific sources, processes it through automated workflows, and outputs actionable insights via API or CSV files. This flexibility allows grocery retailers and brands to start where they are in terms of data availability and gradually improve their data coverage. With its focus on delivering accurate, holistic impact assessments, the inoqo platform is positioned to become a leading tool for driving sustainable transformation in the food and beverage industry.

In CHOICE, the impact results will be enhanced using IAM outputs, allowing for a more global perspective of each individual’s actions and consumption habits. Moreover, the product’s campaign strategy, nudging and gamification elements will be correlated with the CHOICE behavioural science methodology, including A/B testing and CHOICE behaviour models, in order to improve results, challenges, and interventions.

Finally, through the Inoqo product assessment platform, producers and groceries retailers will have the chance to embed information on the environmental, societal and health impacts of their product’s footprint in their value proposition to their customers, which is sourced from widely accepted scientific tools (IAM models and SDG analysis in the project).
