The University of Pretoria (UP) is a multi-campus research intensive institution with a very rich bouquet of programmes. It is also one of Africa’s universities with the highest research outputs and most productive researchers. The project will be hosted at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Extension and Rural Development, which has extensive experience in agribusiness, various rural development programmes, and food systems. The university also hosts a center of excellence in sustainable food systems.
